Here are a few our favourite restaurants for children in and around Victoria.

For a local fast food option, Big Wheel Burger has great kids meals, similar to a happy meal but the source of the food is local and free range, and it’s not your typical fast food.

Another Cook Street Village favourite is Bubby’s Kitchen. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and have great food options for kids. Their family friendly atmosphere also includes a patio, perfect for summer!

The Fernwood Inn is great to bring kids to and keeps the parents happy. They’re very family friendly with a good kids menu featuring kid friendly favorites like “swamp water” and “mac and cheese”, and they too have a patio!

A favorite breakfast place for children is Shine Cafe. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch options for both you and your kids and with 2 locations in Victoria this local spot is always popular for weekend brunch.

Opening this summer in the old Cheesecake Factory spot in downtown Victoria, is Frankie’s Modern Diner. Owner Frank Naccarato used to own several Moxie’s on the Island and had a similar space up in Nanaimo. This modern spin on the 1950’s diner features lots of locally sources food and great kid options! Speaking of Moxie’s can’t forget to mention their smoking dry-ice cream that they serve to kids, it’s always a huge hit!

Fifth Street Bar & Grill has a good kids menu and lots of options for mom and dad as well!

Not just soft serve and sundaes, Beacon Drive-in is a fun place to stop by in the summer for a bite after taking the kids to the water park or the petting zoo.

With two locations in Victoria, Crumsby is the perfect spot for an after school snack or weekend lunch! With kids tables and a great selections of treats and snacks this is the perfect place for the kids to get together.

Another growing Victoria chain that’s great for the family is Bin 4. They have a kids menu with an array of burger, bun and side choices. They also have gluten free bun options!
