The view is astounding – ceiling to floor glass on two adjoining walls gives me a panoramic view of False Creek in Vancouver’s Yaletown district from 120 feet above the ground. In my condo, there is technically an enclosed balcony. The developer was able to build into the building which provides an extra room but was not counted in the “FSR” (floor space ratio). So a two-bedroom condo becomes a 2 bedroom plus den condo in realtor terms. This room is 11 feet by 9 feet and has become my office. It is my favorite room partially because it has the best view, partially because its my space. (read my man cave).

In my man cave I get to put up the trophies from CHBA (Canadian Home Builders Association) for Best Homes, Best Kitchens and Best Renovations that I have won over the years. My wife thought I should have something green, living and healthy in my man cave so I chose a large snake grass plant that keeps me company beside my desk. It was the most manly plant I could find. Two screens on my desk let me perform to fullest capacity, a bright yellow boogie board from Hawaii leans against one wall. I’m comfortable in my space and spend a lot of time there daily running my business.
