Top priorities of homebuyers according to Alair Homes’ infographic:
1. Around 94 percent of homebuyers want materials and appliances that are energy-efficient. Not only does it make the home more environmentally friendly, it also helps reduce monthly energy costs.
2. Around 40 percent of homebuyers want the house to be up-to-code. Nobody wants to buy a house and have to pour more money into renovations in order to bring it up to code.
3. Around 68 percent of homebuyers want a home that fits their aesthetic and functionality needs – and it’s almost impossible to find an existing home that meets all of these needs.
4. Around 77 percent of homebuyers want a home that is technologically up-to-date – something that’s difficult if you’re buying a 40-year old home.
