It’s even possible to pack in some fun before your child’s afternoon nap! Here’s a sneak peek on South Surrey events that you wouldn’t want to miss this festive season.

Lights At Lafarge

Coquitlam city proudly presents Lights at Lafarge; the biggest, free outdoor light display in town! Designed to dazzle in more than ten unique zones, this marvelous light display encompasses the entire Lafarge Lake. With lights twinkling until mid-January, this is your golden chance to see floating lotus flowers, gigantic mushrooms, chandelier lighted outdoor dining areas, and a woodland garden all in one area. This attraction will have you wandering around all night charmed by the glow of the holiday lights.

The Peak of Christmas – Grouse Mountain

There’s no better place to have a good time with Santa as you explore his workshop. Feel the holiday spirit as you support the BC Children’s Hospital by voting for your favorite creation at the Gingerbread Village. What’s more, you could rent a snow carpet at the sliding zone and let out your inner child! This event is the perfect way to bring out the kid in all of us. Why not head there today before the fun ends on January 6, 2019?

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park Canyon Lights

Thanks to the thousands of lights spanning the Treetops Adventure, Cliffwalk, and the rain forest, the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is bound to leave you dazzled this holiday! Pass by the Winter Craft Tent and have fun constructing your personal holiday badge, or decorating gingerbread cookies. Running up to January 27, 2019, you’ll keep wishing the fun never ends.

Lights On The Lake

Happening until January, 28, 2019 at Harrison Hot Springs, Lights On The Lake will get you in the festive spirit. The Christmas light display will take the holiday feeling to a whole new level. There will also be a Whoville-themed village, a Christmas tree trail and free hot chocolate to help wipe out winter blues!

Santa’s Parade Of Lights – Surrey

This year marks the Santa’s Parade of Lights 13th anniversary. A lighted truck parade will accompany the conventional parade with antique vehicles, marching bands, floats, and horses. If the incredible success in 2017 is anything to go by, this year is bound to have more lighted-entries. Taking place on December 2, 2018, the parade will kick off at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds starting at 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to bring a toy or non-perishable food item and leave it with one of the Surrey Food Bank members.

Give yourself a pat on the back for all your hard work by enjoying the holidays! With these events, you’re sure to have a sparkly, shimmery, and festive holiday as we ring in 2019!
