Mother Teresa School

Mother Teresa School is a faith-based Catholic Christian school for grades kindergarten to sixth-grade. The school located in Walkerton, Ontario and nurtures students to love learning and pursue educational excellence throughout its curriculum. It rates 7.6 within five years or 334 out of 2,348 schools. In 2014, the school held an exceptional 8.8 rating out of 10 rating, the highest elementary school within the school district. The school also is successful in soccer, volleyball, basketball, science fairs, and public speaking.

Immaculate Conception Separate School

Immaculate Conception Separate School, located in Cornwall, Ontario, in 2014 ranks 7.8 out of 10 in total ratings that include reading, writing, math, reading, and writing. The Catholic school is strong in reading and writing skills and proudly showcases students who won silver medals at the Canada-Wide Science Fair at University of Windsor. The project titled “iScan” studied fingerprint detection on low contrast surfaces, which is conducted by some law enforcement agencies.

Sacred Heart School

Located in Mildmay, Ontario, this Catholic school holds a 2014 rating of 7.2 out of 10 within the school district. Its academic strengths are in math, reading and writing. The school features a healthy nutrition program that encourages healthy eating among students, faculty, and staff.

St. Mary’s High School

St. Mary’s High School located in Owen Sound, Ontario is ranked 322 out of 693 schools. In 2014, the school held a rating of 7.0 out of 10 with an 85 percent performance rating in academic testing. In addition to high academic standing the Catholic high school offers extra-curricular activities including golfing, swimming, choral and yearbook development. The students are involved in volunteer community service hours that enhance the student and improves the area community.

Sacred Heart High School

Sacred Heart High School located in Walkerton, Ontario ranks 355 out of 693 schools. In 2014, the school ranked about 6 out of 10 with an 82 percent performance rating in academic testing. The students are involved in the Terri Fox Fun to raise funds for cancer research, the Random Act of Kindness Day project and the Bountiful Thanksgiving Food Drive for those in need. Students also care for veterans as student interpreters for the Walkerton Legion’s 3000 square foot display that honors local veterans through memorabilia.
