When completing a project whether it is a custom home, infill or renovation, it is essential to document each stage of the project. We recently completed 4 projects in where we had taken before, during and after pictures and the result was astonishing.

Dramatic Home Renovations

When a customer hires a professional to complete their project, many times when the project is completed, it is hard to remember what the original looked like. The thought might be, the renovated project looks better than the original, but the dramatic change whether it is big or small is best caught in a photo. Interiors, exteriors, and anything accented by the contractor should be photographed.

For these projects we used a quality SLR camera for the before and during shots. As for the final shots we hired a professional photographer from Avonlea Photography to really highlight the customers’ newly refined space. Dean from Avonlea used a wider lens to capture more of the finished project in the smaller spaces. As well, he brought in additional lighting and flashes so that no detail was hidden in the shadows.

Renovation Transformation Through Pictures

The customer response has been fantastic as we provide them with the high-resolution pictures when we are done. We have even gone one step further and provided some clients with a short before and after slide show. The customers are happy to show off the shots to their friend s and co-workers. From a business standpoint, it really allows Alair to show potential clients the quality of work and the attention to detail that we can achieve. In addition, photographing these projects after the final touches have been completed, has really given my team something to be proud of.
